Fond du Lac crit race report (Masters 30+)
Posted by Denny in Uncategorized on June 18, 2007
Mark, Steve, Gene, and I racked up another win for CZ Velo yesterday up in Fond du Lac. After numerous attacks, Mark launched me with four laps to go, and I was able to stay clear to the finish. The field nearly caught me on the last lap, but they sat up when they got within about three seconds. I gritted my teeth for the final 60 seconds and got the win. Thanks to all three of my teammates for controlling the race before and after I got away. We were (again) the most active team in the race. I was very glad to have had my wife and parents there to see it. It made a good Father’s Day present for my dad.

Thanks to Mark, TJ, and Steve for supporting me on the road, and to Kelley for doing a great job with hand-ups and general encouragement.
New job

Today, I started my new job as Hayes Brake’s Marketing Supervisor. In addition to a very warm welcome, I received a boatload of really cool stuff. I especially dig the wool jersey. Actually, I dig it all. I almost bought a new backpack yesterday, and this thing beats everything I saw at REI. And the socks are actually big enough to fit my enormous feet. I love my new job.
